Buena Vista Cafe
THE BUENA VISTA CAFE - San Francisco Watercolor
(THIS IS A DALE PERKINS BEST SELLER!!)
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf at 2765 Hyde St (at Beach), the Buena Vista Cafe is most famous for their Irish coffee, where they serve up to 2,000 a day. Buena Vista means “Good View” and what a view it has. Across the street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turnaround and looking out towards the Golden Gate Bridge, with the San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and the Ding, Ding, Ding of the Cable car, you are surrounded by everything that is uniquely and beautifully San Francisco.
The original building where the Buena Vista sits today was a boardinghouse until 1916 when the landlord converted the first floor into a saloon. Irish Coffee was introduced in 1952 and a San Francisco landmark was born.
“This corner is always high energy with the fun and frantic hustle and bustle of people and the clang…clang of the many Cable Cars at Beach and Hyde Streets.”
