CABLE CAR AT BAY - San Francisco Watercolor
Growing up in San Francisco, the Cable Car became a very close part of my San Francisco life. I lived on Hyde Street and I frequently took the cable car to the Fisherman’s Wharf area to fish. A bait shop was close by and the Cable car was my means of travel. What fun…the open air…fresh smells of the wharf…the sound of the bell, the grinding of the wheels and underground cables…always fun and an adventure with the steep decent on the side of Hyde facing Alcatraz. It is funny but even when we reached the end of the line at Bay the fascinating views made the adventure start again in a wonderful visual way
Sizes: small 14x20; medium 20x26; large 30x42

PILOT BOAT - San Francisco Watercolor
This painting always puts me in a good mood - looking up to Ghirardelli, I was represented by one of the biggest Art Gallery's on Beach Street, a few feet away from the Buena Vista. At one time I was represented by 5 different galleries in SF. I owe it all to Ed Price, the Gallery Manager who promoted my work to tourists from around the world…Ed made my watercolors the star attractions. While working with Ed, I was able to meet wonderful clients who I will never forget. …I accomplished painting goals beyond all of my expectations…was able to meet wonderful families…happy travelers thrilled to be in San Francisco!

POWEL STREET CABLE CAR - San Francisco Watercolor
The San Francisco cable car system is the world's last manually operated cable car system. An icon of San Francisco, the Powell-Mason Cable Car begins at the Powell Street/Market Street turntable, and runs up and over Nob Hill and down to Bay Street at Fisherman's Wharf. Along with Lombard Street, the Buena Vista Cafe, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf, the cable car is a beloved treasure unique to San Francisco. Union Square got its name because it was once used for rallies and support for the Union Army during the American Civil War, The old Emporium used to be where Powell Street meets Market Street. At one time, I sold toys on the 4th floor; my father sold shoes on the main floor; and my mother worked in the stock rooms. It is funny how some of these past memories seem fresh as a new day.

STEINER VICTORIANS - San Francisco Watercolor
The "Painted Ladies" is a row of Victorian houses on Steiner Street across from Alamo Square Park in San Francisco. They were built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Mather Kavanaugh who lived next door in the 1892 mansion at 722 Steiner Street. These beautiful "ladies" appear frequently in media and mass-market photographs of the City and they have appeared in an estimated 70 movies, TV programs, advertisements including the opening credits of the television series Full House.
