San Francisco Watercolors - Watercolor Commissions

A Watercolor Commission is a great way to personalize a landscape or building of your choice.

Dale Perkins was asked to do this San Francisco Watercolor Commission of Grace Cathedral as a wedding gift. The church held special memories for the soon to be married couple. The Lake Tahoe Cabin was commissioned for the son of the owners of the beautiful Cabin in Lake Tahoe. You'll notice the detail in both San Francisco Watercolor paintings.

Modified Watercolor Commission

Here's a sample of a modified Watercolor Commission and one of Dale's most popular "personalized" Watercolor Giclee Print (full picture and close-up below). In this San Francisco Giants Watercolor you can include your name or other message, hand painted on the PacBell Park, the San Francisco Giants scoreboard on a giclee print. Very cool!


Advantages of a Commission

• Client preferred images can be included even if they do not otherwise occur

• Personal names can be added to boats and buildings

• The client who desires original paintings will have more input into the detail of; colors, size and mood

The Process

Interim rough sketches will be presented to the client to ensure that anticipated expectations are met. A 50% down payment is required with the balance due upon completion of the Commission.
